October 17, 2000 Dr. Michele Galante 31 Cragmere Road Suffern, NY 10901 Dear Dr. Galante: Little did I know when I first came to your office for help in 1984, that I would be beginning one of the most important relationships in my life. You have been my Doctor all these many years and the benefits from your care are enormous and defy description. Do you remember on that first visit how sick I was? I had to eat a meal and sleep before I was strong enough for you to examine me. You were very thorough and took hours to detail my history and symptoms. I had a severe case of environmental illness and was so ill I had moved home for my parents to care for me and they had me living in isolation at their summer home in the Adirondacks to avoid toxins. You were able to help me go from being completely dependent to returning to my high stress job in record time. You continued to help me with my allergies, which have steadily improved. When I married and came down with Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome you helped me to get back on my feet. I know other people with the same illness who have never recovered and I was back to full strength again. I was so healthy that when we decided to have a baby, I was able to have a fabulous pregnancy. I’ll never be able to repay you for your assistance in consulting over the phone for my 3 days of back labor and difficult delivery of our 9.8 lb. Joey. After Joey was born when I had all the problems with breast-feeding and an abscess you helped me to heal up in record time. My mid-wife was amazed at how quickly I healed. Then I developed post-pregnancy hypothyroid problems. An HMO doctor wanted to put me on medication for the rest of my life. By working with you, we were able to get my thyroid levels back to normal in a couple of months without the use of any pharmaceuticals. There have been many other smaller incidents in these many years but every time I have turned to you for medical miracles you have delivered. I’ve learned that I need to follow all your advice and when I do amazing healing occurs. You are now treating Joey for Lymes Disease. It is a very serious illness and I am so pleased with the progress that Joey has made under your care. You have always made yourself available to our family and gone to extraordinary lengths as a medical provider to serve the needs of our family.
